Big Charities and Their Databases
Data is really important to big homeless charities who want to improve their service. I get it. Data becomes information, information becomes
knowledge, knowledge becomes expertise, expertise becomes wisdom, wisdom means they can offer an excellent service.
The problem is the more time frontline staff spend gathering data and inputing data, the bigger the danger is that they can easily be percieved as being remote from the people-focussed values that they are aiming to implement.
